The 2008 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has sent a goodwill message to all NPP members in the 230 constituencies across the country, as they prepare to hold constituency executive elections, following the successful election of polling station executives and electoral area coordinators.
In his message, Nana Akufo-Addo said, “strengthening the effective organisation of our party is critical to our efforts to winning the votes of the great majority of Ghanaians in 2012. To this end, I respectfully urge all members, current executives and stakeholders of our party, to conduct the upcoming constituency elections in a free, fair and peaceful manner.”
He adds that “the expanded electoral college of our party, to include polling station and constituency executives, is intended to ensure the effectiveness of our grass roots mobilisation for the 2012 general elections and beyond.”
“I am confident that after the votes are cast and counted, our party will be reinvigorated and renewed, which will enable us to continue to participate meaningfully in the political life of our nation.”
He concludes that “winners and losers alike, should join hands in unity, and advance the principles and ideals of our party, the realisation of which are essential to the progress and prosperity of the Ghanaian people.”
He called on God’s blessings for the entire party.
