IT Solutions company, IBM has appointed Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh as the Country General Manager. She succeeds Joe Mensah who served as General Manager of IBM Ghana for five years.
Ms. Kyerematen-Jimoh will be responsible for all of IBM's Sales, Marketing, Services and Global Delivery Operations in Ghana. She is a seasoned marketer with extensive experience in client relationship management, after working in the financial services and technology industries in Africa and Europe for the past 15 years.
She joined IBM in 2011 as the Territory Marketing Manager responsible for IBM West Africa, and later moved to Nairobi, Kenya as Strategy Leader for IBM’s Central, East and West Africa operations.
Kyerematen-Jimoh will oversee IBM’s business in Ghana’s fast growing Financial Services, Oil & Gas, Telecommunications and Government sectors, with a focus on deploying IBM’s advanced technology capabilities in Cloud Computing, Big Data and Analytics, Mobile and Security to solve current and future needs of institutions in these key economic sectors. Ms. Kyerematen-Jimoh is a graduate of Harvard Business School in Leadership Development and holds a BA in Marketing and French.
Mr. Mensah will be retiring from IBM after a successful 32-year career at the company. Under his leadership, he reestablished IBM's corporate presence in Accra and deepened IBM’s support for clients and partners in Ghana. Mensah has been instrumental in leading technology projects across different key industries in the country focusing on banking and financial services.
