The Metropolitan Group of Companies, have also donated assorted medical supplies worth several thousands of Ghana Cedis to the 37 Military Hospital, to support caring for those injured and sick from the disaster.
Speaking at the ceremony to present the medical supplies, AJ Kruger CEO of Metropolitan Life and Executive Director of Metropolitan Pensions Trust and Metropolitan Health Insurance noted that this was part of the companies’ response to the double disasters.
AJ Kruger said, the company is also responding to the call from the Ministry of Health for well-meaning companies and entities to assist with the restocking of the Central Medical Stores but has elected to donate directly to the 37 Military Hospital due to the pressure and the stress that the Hospital faces since the occurrence of the disaster.
“We have monitored various media reports and we know the strain on your facility following the disaster and have made the decision to support this Hospital and Ghanaians as a whole in these difficult periods, hence the presentation this afternoon”, AJ stated.
