If you are a regular listener of Hitz FM’s music shows Hitz in the Club and Hitz in the Mix, then you must be familiar with the name “Pepsi.” Well the man behind this name Henry Ofori Nyarko is embarking on a massive personality rebranding.
Perfekt, which will be running with the liner The man with more than 50 billion skills, will be Henry’s new showbiz name after what is expected to be a star-studded party slated for December 27, 2009 at the new Aphrodisiac nightclub at Dzorwulu in Accra.
As though it would be platform for a disc jockeying competition, several of the country’s finest DJs will be on hand to display their dexterity behind the console.
A strong pack of six DJs – Black and Nii Aryee of Joy FM, Kwame (Killer Fingaz), Mensah, P.K. Snoop and Amani – have already been listed.
Several other media personalities including Bola Ray of Joy FM, Blakk Rasta, Okyeame Quophi and Amanda of Hitz FM and DJ Mensah, will be masters of ceremony or MCs.
“It’s going to be a night of beat per minute,” DJ Perfekt said.
Narrating why he intends to shed his “Pepsi” skin, which he has used behind the microphone for over a decade now, Henry said simply he wants to move on.
“Pepsi is a brand name and using it has created the best opportunities for me,” he indicated.
The main sponsors of the programme are Hitz FM and Hitz TV, Joy FM, Empire Entertainment, Fylla, 4syte TV, Digital Innovations and the 21-31 banging hip-hop show on Y FM.
