The Parliament of Ghana will resume sitting tomorrow, Tuesday January 26 after going on break for two months.The house is expected to sit for two months after which they will break to allow leadership and members of the house to attend the International Parliamentary Association meeting in Thailand.The Majority leader in Parliament, Hon Alban Bagbin speaking to Citi News said the house will be considering a number of important bills including; The Right to Information Bill, Renewable Energy Bill, Colleges of Education Bill, University of Ghana Bill, Education Amendment Bill, Forestry Commission Bill Amendment Bill, Cyber Security Bill, Minerals Development Fund Bill.Other Bills such as the Plants Bill and the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority Bill which are already in front of the house will be considered during this session.Although the Majority leader admits the time for the sitting is too short, he said the most important item on the house’s agenda will be the presentation of the State of the Nation Address by the President John Evans Mill.He said he expects the presentation to be done two weeks into the month of February.Mr Bagbin added that the house will go on recess on March 26 after which they will attend the International Parliamentary Association meeting.Story by Aglanu Dela Ernest/Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
