Toyota Ghana Limited says it would accept all vehicles affected by the recent recall by its parent company including second hand ones.
More than 8 million cars have been recalled in the US in the past four months alone over concerns their accelerator pedals were getting stuck on floor mats.
There have been further recalls in Europe and China. According to Toyota Ghana though the vehicles they sell locally have so far not been affected they would accept responsibility for faulty models whether purchased from their showrooms or not.
Public Relations Officer, Ama Orleans Asante, however tells Joy Business they are yet to receive any such complaints.
Meanwhile the President of Toyota Motor Corporation, Akio Toyoda has apologized for the vehicle recalls.
He said the company plans to give detailed explanations soon to address customers’ concerns.
