Joblinks Newspaper, a publication that seeks to advertise vacancies, opportunities and educational advancement options would be launched in May.
The paper which has been in circulation on pilot basis for the past months seeks to collate vacancies and opportunities received directly from human resource directors of various organizations, recruitment agencies, as well as company career pages.
A release signed by Mr William Addai, Managing Director of Joblinks indicated that, the paper seeks to provide a unique avenue for unemployed graduates being churned out by the various universities in the country.
According to the release, although thousands of vacancies exist daily in various establishments, unemployment rates were still on the high owing to the lack of a forum to carry the opportunities to the people.
The statement said the paper would serve as a “bible” for thousands of jobseekers looking for opportunities. Plans are far advanced to for the online version of the paper.
The weekly paper, according to the publishers, would enlighten the workforce with progressive training and skill enhancement options.
It would also provide useful information that would enable one to easily access a particular job that fits his or her requirement precisely.
According to Mr Addai, the paper which would be sold at a GH¢1 would save job seekers a lot of resources compared to huge finances one spends through the purchase of various newspapers, surfing the internet as well as the traditional mode of moving from one office to the other in search of opportunities.
Mr Addai indicated that, the publication would also offer job symposiums for prospective applicants for seeking recruitments for advertised vacancies where they would be taken through a curriculum vitae clinic (CV) to increase their marketability for the opportunities.
