Parliament is expected to deliberate on the reports of the finance committee on a number of financial agreements before the house rises Friday.
High on the agenda is the report on the Suppliers Credit Financing Agreement between the government of Ghana and STX Engineering and Construction Ltd for an amount of 1.5 billion dollars for the construction of 30 thousand housing units for the security services.
The MPs would also debate the report on the credit agreement between Ghana and the China EXIM Bank for 102 million dollars for the national electrification scheme.
Others are a 90 million dollar supplier’s credit agreement with China International Water and Electric Corporation for the same scheme as well as the request for the Internal Revenue Service to waive tax arrears and penalties owed by the Social Investment Fund for the amount of 507 thousand Ghana cedis.
