The new 2 Ghana cedis bank note will go into circulation from Friday, May 14.
The Bank of Ghana believes this will ease the pressure on the 1 Ghana Cedi note and increase its lifespan.
The dummy of the new note unveiled last month has a portrait of Ghana’s first president Dr. Kwame Nkrumah one side whilst the reverse depicts the old and new parliament buildings to signify the country’s deepening democracy.
