Mobile telecom operator Zain Ghana has posited that it is not in the business of being phony with subscribers who participate in its promotional activities.
The company is rather committed to affecting the lives of Ghanaian customers through quality reward schemes and other corporate social responsibility events.
The Consumer Protection Agency had described as ‘deceptive’ text message promotions being undertaken by mobile phone operators. No particular telecom company was however cited.
Speaking in an interview with Luv Biz Report, Zain Marketing Manager for Consumer and Payphone, stated that the company’s promotions are simply designed to reward loyal subscribers, emphasizing that Zain’s track record shows it is not interested in ripping off the public.
Tara Squire said Zain is living up to its promise of being a telecom company that enriches the lives of Ghanaians by giving consumers the power to do more.
He made particular reference to the Live Your Dream Reward Show, saying “we selected the name a reward show because that is what it is – you do not pay for any of the rewards you get, either through an SMS or anything. All you do is talk and you are part of the Live Your Dream Promotion.
Even before we had one customer, we put a 3.5G network in Ghana, the first of its kind in West Africa. We believed in Ghana enough to invest in Ghana. We’ve done things that show we put the Ghanaian first before we think about what money we’ll make out of Ghana, so we are very confident about what we’re doing”.
Meanwhile, Samuel Agyemang Prempeh in Kumasi has been rewarded as the ultimate winner for week 8 of the Zain Live Your Dream Too promo.
He won 57 thousand Ghana Cedis in the Rewards Game Show.
An elated Samuel, known popularly as DJ Soap, intends to invest his funds in agriculture, open up a pub and engage in import ventures.
The Zain Rewards Game Show gives customers the opportunity to win up to 75 thousand Ghana cedis every week.
