The investment arm of Merchant Bank says it is best placed to manage funds under the soon to be introduced three-tier pension scheme.
Merban Investment Holdings cites prudent fund management experience as one key reason.
Head of Investment Banking at Merchant Bank, Kwame Poku said the investment company is securing registration for its participation in the new pension scheme.
That he said should be easy, having already secured permission from the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Merban Investment Holdings is among a number of investment institutions positioning to manage one of the three tiers of the new pension regime which allows for private fund managers to handle pensions.
The Merban Holdings has been schooling some of its clients, corporate bodies and the public as part of its Corporate Seminar Series.
