United Bank for Africa (UBA) Ghana Limited on Tuesday opened its plush and elegant branch at the premises of Dizengoof Ghana Limited, which is located at the North Industrial Area in Accra.
The bank, which came into this country with the aim of improving the banking sector in Ghana, has pledged to become one of the five leading banks in the country by 2012.
Mr. Kwame Pianim, Board Chairman of the bank, who opened the 26th branch with support from the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the bank Gabriel Edgal, said UBA would provide excellent services to customers in Ghana.
For his part, Mr. Edgal said his outfit would continue to improve the banking sector in Ghana in order to be adjudged as one of the best banks in the country.
He added that the bank would soon launch an ‘Africard’ that can be used in all the countries.
The card would enable customers to withdraw monies at any location in all the countries.
The bank has enhanced its payment solutions, including Pay Manager, U-Direct, Pay @ Bank and Telephone Banking.
