The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has congratulated the new CPP presidential candidate, Ivor Greenstreet.
The NPP says it is “hopeful that his election will continue to enrich Ghana's politics with ideas and values that will improve the fortunes of the average Ghanaian.”
The Greenstreet beat three contenders Saturday to clinch a landslide victory to become the CPP flagbearer.

The New Patriotic Party extends its congratulations to Mr Ivor Kobina Greenstreet, the newly elected Presidential Candidate of the Convention People's Party (CPP).
Mr Greenstreet has over the years contributed at various levels to the cause of promoting multi-party democracy in Ghana.
We are hopeful that his election will continue to enrich Ghana's politics with ideas and values that will improve the fortunes of the average Ghanaian.
We also congratulate the CPP on a successful Congress in Accra yesterday.
