By a dusty road in Bolgatanga in the Upper East region, stands an impressive one-storey building that serves as the new office for the Bolga East constituency of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The building was put up by the MP and Deputy Attorney-General Dr. Dominic Ayine. He has explained that the project was in fulfillment of his first promise to the delegates if they elected him as the party’s parliamentary candidate in August 2012.

The delegates did not fail him. He has not failed them - there is now an iconic building where party strategy and meetings can come off.

"I built it with my own resources'" "Credit should come to me', Dominic Ayine said on the Morning Show of Bolga-based A1. He said after the party lost power in 2000, landlords shunned the NDC. They were harrassed because landlords did not want to be seen associating with the NDC.

He vowed that when he gets the opportunity to lead the party in the constituency, he will end the years of harassment. "I want the party to be effective on the ground" he said.

Even if we are in opposition, that party office will stay as the property of the National Democratic Congress.
