Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana says it will go ahead with its demonstration on Thursday against the single spine salary structure.
CLOGSAG has over the past few months been agitating for the Fair Wages Commission to negotiate their new salary levels directly with them.
The Executive Secretary James Amissah tells Joy News CLOGSAG will insist that it is given the chance to negotiate as an independent body.
“We just want to draw the attention of government about the refusal of Fair Wages and Salary Commission to negotiate with CLOGSAG for 2010 salaries.
“We are entitled to negotiate our conditions of services; come let us negotiate and you are saying that because you have done negotiations with Public Services Joint Standing Committee, you won’t negotiate with us,” he lamented.
He said COLGSAG does not negotiate under the TUC and will embark on the demonstration to press home their demand for negotiations.
