The Ga Mantse King Tackie Tawiah III appeared in the dock at an Accra Fast Track High Court to testify in a libel suit he has filed against the Dsasetse of the Ga paramount stool.
The Ga Mantse known in private life as Dr Jo Blankson is seeking damages against Nii Oto-Ga for accusing him of faking President Mills’ signature in a letter purported to have recognized his status as king of the Ga state.
He is also challenging Nii Oto-Ga to produce copies of the said letter to prove his allegations.
Lawyers for Nii Oto-Ga, who cross-examined King Tackie Tawiah, attempted to question his legitimacy to the Ga stool. However the Ga Mantse insisted they focus on the substantive case of civil libel against their client.
The case has been adjourned to Thursday, 22nd of July.
