Some aggrieved former executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Bunkprugu Yunyoo in the Northern Region have rejected new party executives for the area.
They are challenging the eligibility of the current leaders.
They accuse executives at the party headquarters of imposing their favourites on them.
The former executives expressed their frustrations at a press conference in Accra on Wednesday.
They blame the development for divisions which have led to the dismissal of the district chief executive.
Spokesperson for the group Paul Sillim said “some of the rules were that unless you are up to four years in the party you are not qualified even to become a party executive member.”
But deputy General Secretary, Kofi Adams, denied the claims asking the group to make a formal petition to the party headquarters for a solution.
