The NDC propaganda secretary for the Assin Fosu constituency is asking police to speed up prosecution of his colleague who allegedly beat him up.Kofi Ohene Gyan wants police to charge the organizing secretary with assault.He alleges Kojo Danso hit him several times with a plastic chair during a meeting to plan the funeral of a party member.Ohene Gyan says he was assaulted after he challenged a decision to exclude the party chairman from the funeral arrangements.He is, however, not pleased that the police in the Central Region have not arrested his abuser two days after the incident.“He took a plastic chair and hit me. All the executives were there but none of them even said anything. I reported the case [to the police] yesterday and they gave me a medical form,” he narrated.“I want the case to be sent to court,” he said.Source: Joy News/Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
