Executives of the National Democratic Congress in the Northern regional capital say disciplinary action will be taken against party youth who vandalized party property in Karaga.
The Party has also condemned the lawlessness with which Karaga Youth rejected the newly appointed District Chief Executive for the area.
The warning follows Friday's demolishing of structures belonging to the NDC by some of its youth in Karaga who were protesting the appointment of Sulemana Iddi as the DCE for the area.
They want President Mills to reinstate Alhaji Haruna Sandow who was removed as DCE in April.
In a strongly worded statement, the NDC in Tamale described the action of the youth as unbecoming of true members of the NDC party.
The statement, according to Joy News Northern Regional Correspondent, Mahama Shaibu, was signed by the Regional Vice Chairman of the party, Sofo Azorka emphasizes that the president has the prerogative to nominate any person to the position of DCE and that decision must be respected.
The statement also expressed the confidence of the regional executives in the ability of the president and his appointees to deliver the Better Ghana Agenda.
Security personnel are patrolling the town to forestall any eventuality.
