Former Chief of Staff, Kojo Mpiani says former workers of the defunct Ghana Airways are partly to blame for the collapse of the erstwhile national carrier.
Speaking to journalists on Wednesday, former workers of Ghana Airways accused former President Kufuor of running down the company alongside those they describe as cronies to the former president.
But in a sharp response the former Chief of Staff says issues surrounding the liquidation of the airline were a result of poor management by former workers.
“If any people contributed to the demise of the corporation I think the workers were part of it. Poor management.
“…It is rather unfortunate that the workers after all these years will now turn around to accuse President Kufuor for what happened. If there is any accusation they should accuse themselves.
“They may have their reasons for now coming up with these things. I hope they are not being used by any people to embarrass President Kufuor for that matter his government,” he said.
