Unilever Ghana on Wednesday launched a new addition to its homecare and laundry products, the Sunlight 2-in-1 washing powder.
The Sunlight 2-in-1 washing powder comes with the same strong, sweet fragrance of the household name Sunlight laundry bar soap, and according to Mr. Akofa Atta, Unilever’s Head of Brand Building, it is to make washing more exciting and less stressful.
At a colourful launching of the new product, which is out already on the market, Mr. Atta said the laundry category made up of trusted brands such as Key Soap and Omo is one of the strong categories of Unilever Ghana's product portfolio.
According to Akofa Atta, Unilever Ghana is committed to providing branded solutions to meet the everyday needs of consumers and among other reasons, price and laundry habits have been identified as the main reasons why many consumers feel inhibited from using washing powder to do their laundry even though they testify of its efficacy. The Sunlight 2 in 1 washing powder is therefore positioned to remove these inhibitions to give the consumer the choice to use washing powder regularly.
He said in line with Unilever's vision to " ... help people feel good, look good and get more out of life with brands and services that are good for them and good for others", the introduction of the Sunlight 2 in 1 washing powder is intended to enable the consumer experience the luxury of a washing powder that not only cleans but also leaves a lasting fragrance in the clothes it cleans and yet comes at a very affordable price.”
