A 35-year-old man bled to death after he was shot at the Mole National Park in the Northern Region on Sunday.
The West Gonja District Chief Executive, Adam Mutawakil says the deceased was caught in a cross fire between game reserve’s anti poaching squad and hunters.
He said hunters entered the reserve to hunt and were confronted by reserve’s anti poaching squad who insisted that the hunters drop their guard but they resisted and exchange of gunshots ensued.
This is the fifth time somebody has been shot dead at the Game Reserve though it is unclear how many were accidental.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.
