Some unidentified youth numbering about 2,000 have invaded the palace of the chief of Tema New Town on Friday.
The youth are agitating against the Tema Mantse Nii Kraku II who they say has been silent about a recent demolishing exercise in the area.
Adom FM’s Samuel Nortey reports that the irate youth destroyed almost everything in the palace using pistols and stones.
He however said the chief was not in the palace when the incident occurred or were there any casualties.
Meanwhile security personnel have been deployed to restore calm.
