The Northern Ghana Youth Network for Development (NGYND) has congratulated Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal for emerging as the 2009 Marketing Man of the Year in the just ended Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) Marketing Performance Awards.
A statement issued in Accra and signed by the Executive Director of NGYND, Muhammed A. Yakubu, said it "is widely recognized across the frontiers of the media in Ghana that Mr. Ibrahim has brought on board innovation, management sophistication, a grandiose of expertise, excellence and experience to propel the Graphic Communications Group Limited to its current standards. As acknowledged in the CIMG Award Citation Graphic under Mr. Ibrahim’s management has recorded an over 800% increment in its profit portfolio."
It stated that "In the view of NGYND by this startling and sterling achievement the generality of Ghanaians and for that matter people of Northern Ghana especially the youth recognize this, celebrate with you and share in your joy, honour and glory as a role model for the current generation of Ghanaians."
"We also urge the youth to aim high, adopt positive behavioural patterns, take their education serious, aspire and strive to emulate and achieve the worthy feat chalked by Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal. NGYND also wishes to use this medium to congratulate Mr. Abdulai Rafiu on his appointment as the new Managing Director of Ghana Post. It is our hope that Mr. Abdulai will bring his expertise and good judgment to bear by adopting best and appropriate managerial practices to curb the crises that characterised Ghana Post in recent times. We have a lot of confidence in Mr. Abdulai and believe that his diligence and astuteness when applied to managing Ghana Post will inure to the benefit of Ghana Our Motherland," the statement concluded.
