The head of a middle-aged man was crushed when his vehicle run into the pillars of a wall at McCarthy Hill, a suburb of Accra Saturday morning.
The man, who was driving a ford expedition, was ascending the hills when the incident occurred.
Eyewitnesses say they cannot comprehend how the car suddenly made a round turn and crashed the way it did.
An eyewitness who identified himself as Asamoah described the scene as gory.
“He crashed against the pillar and he’s still trapped inside the vehicle; he’s dead, he’s totally dead. His head is crashed and blood there was blood oozing from his nose, mouth and ears,” he said.
“In fact the people in the house heard the crash and came out so they could not describe exactly what happened; because it was raining, they were within the house when bang; they came out and the accident had already happened.”
A brother of the man, Francis Dompeh, who rushed to the scene upon hearing the accident expressed shock.
Inspector Patty with the Odorkor MTTU says he has called for reinforcement.
