The Right Reverend Dr Yaw Frimpong-Manso, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, has challenged Ghanaian leaders to exhibit good leadership qualities to help advance the well-being of the people.
He said that the time had come for political, religious and traditional leaders to refrain from corrupt practices that could erode the gains made over the years.
Rt Rev. Dr Frimpong-Manso was delivering the sermon at a thanksgiving service to climax the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Akomadan Congregation of the Church in the Offinso Municipality.
He asked the leaders to be transparent and accountable in the discharge of their duties to ensure the effective and judicious use of state resources for the benefit of the people.
Rt Rev. Dr Frimpong-Manso said it was incumbent on the Church to reflect on its achievements and challenges and plan for its development.
Nana Wiafe Akenten III, Omanhene of Offinso, asked traditional and religious leaders to collaborate efforts towards the reduction of poverty and creation of jobs for the people.
He commended the founding fathers of the Church for their vision and mission, which had sustained Presbyterianism in spite of the stormy times the church had gone through.
