US President Barak Obama has urged developing countries to find creative ways of raising funds and building their own capacities to achieve the millennium development goals.
Addressing the UN session on MDG’s in New York, Mr. Obama said African countries will not make progress if they not change their development strategies.
He however praised efforts by countries such as Ghana towards realizing the MDGs. He also pledged more support to ensure the goals are achieved by the 2015 deadline.
Foreign Affairs Minister Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni who is leading Ghana’s delegation to the UN session also presented a report on the country’s performance and efforts to meet the 2015 deadline.
