Optical illusions confuse the brain because of what the eye thinks it sees - but this one is more baffling than most.
The image has had more than 2.2 million views after it was shared on Reddit .
It seems to show two people hugging by a beach, the female with her arms wrapped around the male.
But when you look at the feet, it becomes unclear which belong to which.
Some have said that it looks like the girl is lifting the man off the ground in the embrace.

Uploaded to Reddit by user Blood_Reaper , it was simply titled: "This hurts my brain."
Comments include: "Great. Another picture media is going to pick up, 'IS HE IN FRONT OR BEHIND?'"
Another adds: "I don't like this... it's messing with me too much."
The real answer is left by Bigshaggybutts who reveals: "His shorts are two colors. White in the middle, black on the outside. I'm fun at parties, please invite me."
