A 41-year-old trader of Chiraptre Estate in Kumasi has stabbed his mother to death and wounded his brother because a pastor had told him they were responsible for his lack of progress.
Isaac Adu attacked 77-year-old Ama Akyaa whilst she was eating, stabbed her in the chest with a knife, killing her instantly.
He had earlier inflicted multiple stab wounds on his 51-year teacher brother, Charles Adu, who survived on May 28, 2016.
Mr. Adu was issued with a police medical form to attend hospital.
According to reports, the suspect is said to have been told by an unidentified prophet at a Kumasi-based prayer camp that his relatives were behind his failing printing press business at Asafo, also in Kumasi.
Asokwa District Commander, DSP George Collins Bawa who confirmed the incident said the body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue.
