Polytechnic administrators are threatening to hit the streets to push their demands for better conditions of service from the Fair Wages Commission. According to them, the Commission has failed to act on their concerns about the disparities in the single spine salary structure. Already, members of the Polytechnic Teachers Association of Ghana (POTAG) have been on strike for nearly three weeks in protest over poor conditions of service. President of the Polytechnic Administrators Association of Ghana, Seth Kpedor told Joy News they may have to advise themselves. He said members of the association had ignored his appeals for restraint and were holding an emergency meeting to declare a strike. “It looks like their patience is running out, that is why the are forcing me to do something.” Mr. Kpedor said the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission must “come out and tell us the result of the reevaluation we did.” Source: Joy News/Ghana
