As part of activities marking its 85th Anniversary, Accra Academy will hold a Founders' Day lecture on Thursday at the British Council hall.
The lecture will address some of the most pressing issues about the world of business and national development.
Speaking on the theme: "Creating shared value: A force to drive competitive advantage and national development," the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) Alex Mould, a bleoobi (son of bleoo) will shed light on the growing trends in the competitive business environment and how that will translate into national development.
The 85th Anniversary Founders Day lecture, organised by the 78 year group is set to bring together all bleoobii (sons of bleoo) and friends, particularly St Mary's to share ideas on major issues affecting the country.
The Lecture will be chaired by Bleoobi Felix Nyarko-Pong, CEO of Unibank and a member of the Bleoo 78 year group.
Accra Academy is a school with an unlimited men of substance who continually influence the nation in many unimaginable ways and on Thursday at 4:00pm, many of those men will converge for what will be a thoroughly stimulating discussion.
During the 1931 period when schools were established by churches and government, four young men, all below the age of 30, against all odds, established what will become one of the greatest high schools in West Africa.
Even though the four Dr. Kofi George Konuah, Samuel Neils Awuletey, Gottfried Narku Alema and James Akwei Halm-Addo eventually accepted that the school be made public, the seeds of hardwork, selflessness and an insatiable desire to succeed against unbelievably long odds had been planted already and that resonates well with any student fortunate enough to use that tower of brilliance.
The tower shaped the little minds of students and turned them into giants in business, sports, governance, academia, law etc.
