Ghana winger Albert Adomah has completed his move from Middlesbrough to Aston Villa.
There was some confusion earlier on Wednesday when Villa owner Tony Xia tweeted a picture of Adomah in the club's shirt with the caption: "Welcome to Villa, Adomah", despite the deal still to be concluded.
But later in the afternoon, the club announced on its website that they were "delighted" to announce Adomah's signing.
The 28-year-old was a central part of Middlesbrough's successful promotion campaign in the Sky Bet Championship last season, featuring in 47 games.
But he rejected the offer of a new contract during the summer and has now opted to return to the second tier under the guidance of manager Roberto Di Matteo at Villa Park.

Adomah began his career with non-league Harrow Borough, earning a move to League Two Barnet in 2008 where he spent two-and-a-half-seasons, notching 20 goals.
The summer of 2010 saw Adomah join Championship side Bristol City in a £150,000 deal and after three consistent seasons with the Robins he signed for Middlesbrough for £1m in 2013.
