Abednego Tetteh hopes he will be able to shun interest from clubs abroad to stay at Bechem United next season.
The prolific striker recovered from a slow start to finish the campaign as one of the top performers, scoring 14 goals.
Tetteh’s goals aided Bechem to finish the season as MTN FA Cup champions as well as respectable 7th position on the league log.
Usually when players excel in the top-flight, they move abroad. However, the star forward wants to stay with the Bechem based side for another season.
‘’I have a contract with Bechem United and I respect it. I will serve the contract.’’ He told Joy Sports.
‘’I will work more before the start of new season. My target was to score seven or nine goals. But God willing I got 14 and it’s a plus. I have to do more work to achieve more’’
Quizzed about how fans treated him when he was struggling, Abednego said
“At first the people of Bechem despised me and at some point attacked me but now i am their darling boy, you know supporters, now they are doing it to Pogba so it is normal.”
