Two teachers of Wa Secondary Technical School have been arrested in connection with the burning of a vehicle belonging to the Assistant Headmistress, Madam Dakurah.
The school was closed down on February 14 after students went on the rampage demanding the dismissal of the assistant headmistress.
Though the students were expected back at the weekend, the burning of the vehicle by unidentified persons Saturday night, forced the Education Directorate to close down the school indefinitely.
Police suspect the complicity of some students and have invited them for questioning.
Chief Inspector Adu Amankwah, who is the Public Relations Officer of the Wa Police said the two teachers, the Senior Housemaster and the Mathematics teacher were arrested to assist in investigations.
He said while the Senior Housemaster has been remanded in police custody to reappear in court, the Mathematics teacher has been granted bail.
