Old Mutual Ghana has announced the appointment of George Kojo Addison as the CEO of Company effective November 1, 2016.
Born in Assin Fosu in the Central Region of Ghana, George is a seasoned Chartered Insurer with experience that spans over 17 years in the insurance industry in Ghana. He has travelled widely on the continent and beyond.
He holds a BSc in Administration and an Executive MBA, both degrees from the University of Ghana, and is a Chartered Insurer with the Chartered Insurance Institute, United Kingdom.
He brings to Old Mutual operational expertise with a sound level of strategic insight acquired in both matured and start-up environments. His strengths include his deep level of focus, emotional intelligence, result-oriented attitude and driving business performance into industry leadership positions. He has an industry reputation of being an executive with strong visionary and analytical skills.
George has worked in two of the top insurance companies in Ghana. He is a well-respected and sought after speaker on insurance and financial issues and has contributed immensely to local insurance talent development through his work with the Ghana Insurance College.
He has attended several courses and business workshops internationally and locally. Mr. George Kojo Addison is a recipient of the 2012 Nobles Award as an Eminent West African who upholds the virtues of Honesty, Integrity and Accountability. He has a passion for personal leadership and excellence and has authored a book titled ‘Standing Out’.
Mr. George Kojo Addison also won the award for Most Customer Focused CEO in Ghana at the 6th Ghana Customer Service Awards for his commitment to Customer Service Excellence.
