Two people are in the custody of the Suhum District Police Command on suspicion of possessing items suspected to be human parts.
The two were arrested at Densuso a suburb of the Suhum Municipality in the Eastern region upon a tip off.
Akakpo Kwame, 26, and Daniel Larbi,18, allegedly went to a fetish priest at Densuso on Sunday to sell what is suspected to be human parts.
According to the priest, when they told him that they have what looked like the bone of the right hand of a human being to sell to him, he was alarmed.
He told them to sit and wait for him while he finds them the money to come and pay them after which he went out to call the Odikro of the town, Baffour Adu Ameyaw to inform his about the happening.
The priest then called to inform the police about the two after which the police proceeded to effect their arrest, said the Suhum District PoliceCommander, DSP Yaaya Musheratu who confirmed the arrest to Joy News correspondent Maxwell Kudekor.
According to the reporter, it is not yet established if the priest has sent the two to get him the part after all three were sent to the police station to write their statements.
Police have been tight-lipped about where the two got the part from or whether they would be processed for court tomorrow but have only said investigations are ongoing.
