Rockcare Group of companies limited producers of Alkamin Mineral water has pledged to sponsor this year’s Tennis Professionals of Ghana (TPG)/GTF National Ranking Tour 2 scheduled for 13-18 March at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Speaking at the launch, the President of the GTF Isaac Aboagye Duah mentioned that, his outfit has been struggling for sponsorship from the government and corporate entities without success and however happy Alkamin Mineral Water came to the Federation’s aid to sponsor the event. According to him, it was a big relief for Alkamin to come on board and thanked the company for the support.
The President added that with the government in power, he believes there will be massive support for the least financed sports, where talents will be unearthed and harnessed to represent the country at international competitions.
The winner will take home a cash prize of GHȼ2,000.00 a trophy and products whilst the second bags GHȼ1,000.00, a trophy plus products from Rock care.
Dr. Antwi Tetteh from Alkamin Mineral Water pledged his commitment to continue sponsoring the National Ranking Tour. Alkamin Mineral water sponsored the event with GHȼ50,000.00 which includes branding and promotion of the competition.
At least 100 tennis stars across the country, including national team players, are expected to renew their ranking and enhance their chances of featuring for the Golden Rackets.
On the bills, reigning No. 1 and No.2 seed Wisdom Na-Adjrago and Benjamin Fumi, also current 2017 National Ranking Tour 1 Champion Emmanuel Plange,
Some big names that have been off the calendar due to other commitments, who have slumped to the non-ranking group, including Jeff Bergerbaseh and Pascal Alome Ziyab, would be expected to reassert themselves at the competition.
