Concerned National Democratic Congress (NDC) Members in Tema (CONMET) have thrown their weight behind President John Evans Atta Mills in the forthcoming Presidential primary of the party in Sunyani.
A statement issued in Tema by the group and signed by its Public Relations Officer, Mr Joseph Kojo Ofori, expressed optimism about President’s Mills victory in the primary on July 8.
“We are sure and certain of one thing that come July 8 at the Sunyani Congress, victory will be ours - the President and all well-wishers inclusive.”
While wishing the Party a peaceful, loving and successful Congress in Sunyani, the group expressed grave concern about the unification of the party after the Congress.
The statement appealed to supporters of the two contestants to bury their differences, forge ahead in unity and fight a common enemy in 2012.
