Black Meteors Coach Akwasi Appiah is optimistic his side can make it to the All Africa Games in Maputo, Tanzania.
The Ghana Olympic team is expected to overturn a 3-1 deficit to Nigeria from their first leg encounter to secure qualification to the All Africa Games.
According to Coach Appiah, preparations so far have been good. He believes with determination and hard work on the part of his players, Ghana should qualify.
He told Asempa Sports on Friday that Daniel Opare and Jonathan Mensah who were expected to join the team could not make it due to their clubs' pre-season engagements.
He believes the boys in camp are capable of executing the job on hand and adds that the Ghana Football Association’s support has been outstanding and called on Ghanaians to come cheer the team.
The Black Meteors will face Nigeria’s Dream Team 5 on Sunday, July 10 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi and a big win will give Ghana the opportunity to participate in the games later in the year.
