A sympathizer of the National Democratic Congress has refused to honour his promise of not contributing to radio discussions again if Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings were to contest President John Mill in the National Democratic Congress.
Alhaji Bature in an interview with Adom FM vowed never to speak on radio again if Konadu went ahead to contest Mills in the Sunyani Congress.
He was told by Adakabre Frimpong Manso of Adom FM that he (Adakabre) will not allow him (Bature) to speak on radio again if Konadu contested the slot. He accepted, saying “I have taken the challenge.”
He was convinced the ex-first lady will pull-out, even if at the last hour, to prevent what he said was an embarrassing defeat that awaited her.
Contrary to his expectation however, Mrs Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings went the full haul and contested President John Mills in the just ended Sunyani Congress.
She polled 90 votes, representing 3.1 per cent of the total votes cast with President John Mills polling 2,771 votes representing 96.9 per cent.
This Alhaji Bature said is a vindication of his strongly held opinion and the reasons why Mrs Rawlings should not have contested the primaries.
He said but for Konadu who "like a stubborn fly followed the corpse to his grave," his prediction would have come to pass.
In an interview with Joy News’ Dzifah Bampoh the NDC sympathizer however stated he was not going to honour his promise of not speaking on radio anymore.
He denied saying he will not speak on radio again explaining it was the host of the Adom Programme Adakabre Frimpong Manso who misled him.
“No body can stop me from talking on radio,” Bature stated.
