The Queen of Cape Coast, Nana Akua Abokyi, has expressed concern about what she terms as “indecent dressing among the youth” and has called on the youth to adopt more responsible lifestyles.
She noted that it was disturbing that the youth were fast losing the moral values that held society together.
She said this during an interaction with students and staff of the Cape Coast Technical Institute.
Nana Abokyi pointed out that the nation’s youth were gradually disregarding the cultural values of the country, adding that this would not augur well for the nation’s development.
She pledged to help instill traditional values into students in the Senior High Schools in the Cape Coast Metropolis and advised the students to study hard to achieve their goals which would enable them to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development.
She pledged to solicit support for the infrastructure development of the school.
Mr Ernest Lyall, Principal of Cape Coast Technical Institute, expressed the hope that the interaction with the queen would be beneficial to the school.
