Police in La are investigating the armed attack on a pastor of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC). Reverend Samuel Ohene Akuffo was shot by unknown assailants as he was driving home from church. He sustained an injury at the back of his arm and is currently receiving treatment at the 37 military hospital. Police are yet to make any arrest but members of his congregation are said to be worried because this is the second attempt on the life of Reverend Ohene Akuffo in less than two weeks. DSP Yao Tettegah of the La District Police Commander told Joy News investigations are ongoing. He could not however tell if the wounds sustained by the pastor were inflicted by gun shots. He said there were no bullet found in the body of the victim but confirmed there was a wound at the back of his arm. According to him, his outfit has examined the vehicle which the pastor was in before the alleged attack and is putting pieces together to help in the investigations. A senior Associate Pastor at ICGC, Reverend Kofi Okyrere says the police should not relent in their efforts to bring the culprits to book. He explained the pastor only last week was attacked at his residence but managed to escape unscathed. He prayed the police will expedite action on the investigations.
