Victims of an armed robbery attack on the Tumu-Navrongo highway have identified two people out of fifteen persons lined-up for an identification parade by the Upper East Regional police command. The victims were students of the St Francis Girls Senior High School who were attacked over the weekend by four armed men on a bridge on river Sisile in the Basisah community while travelling to Bolgatanga for their vacation. The robbers stole their monies, mobile phones and other belongings with eight of the victims beaten mercilessly by the robbers. Police have rounded up 15 suspects and were put up for identification by the victims. The students Monday afternoon identified two men as their attackers. Regional Police Commander ACP Bright Oduro said the suspects appear to be Fulani herdsmen. He said his outfit is conducting further investigations into the matter.
