Chief Executive Officer for Vanguard Insurance Limited, Dr. Gideon Amenyedor says the high competition among players in insurance market, has earned Ghana a reputable accolade as one of the best on the continent after South Africa and Nigeria.
This has contributed to the industry being recognised as a major component of the country’s economy which can only be improved uppon.
“Ghana’s insurance industry has moved very high and it is an envy now,” D r. Amenyedor told Nhyira Addo on ‘The Movers’ segment of the Super Morning Show on Joy FM.

He holds the view that the economy will fail if the insurance sector fails.
The man who joined Vanguard Assurance in 2015 and got prommoted to the CEO position after working a couple of years, siad he likes making customers happy “because when they are happy, they brin you money and your staff are also happy”.
He however, observed, certain cultural practises work against commercial insurance in Ghana.
