Ghana’s SME focused Bank, OmniBank, has sponsored the first batch of Christians to its annual pilgrimage in Israel.

This support continues OmniBank’s immense contribution to the Growing of Communities through its pivotal CSR commitments.

In keeping with the Bank’s first core value of ‘Godliness and Integrity’, and an extension of the Bank’s contribution towards togetherness and development of religious groups in Ghana, an amount of $10,000  has been donated to facilitate the 50-member pilgrim to Israel.

The Managing Director of OmniBank, Philip Oti-Mensah said “The annual pilgrim is an important national activity and OmniBank will support the journey each year.”

“Recognizing the impact of religious groups to the country’s development, OmniBank has recently introduced a product pack tailored for churches called the Praiz Pack. This is a credit facility aimed at solving the financial needs by offering total banking solutions for churches, their staff and members of the church," Mr Oti-Mensah said.

The pilgrims, led by the Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Mr Samuel Kofi Dzamesi will make a visit to some of the historical and religious sites in Israel.

On behalf of the pilgrims, the General Overseer of the Glorious Word Power Ministry, Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah, said the trip would afford them an opportunity to undertake various activities that would bring protection and God’s direction to Ghana.

He said despite the fact that many people perceived the trip as needless, it was crucial that Christians exposed themselves to some of the historical events in the Bible.

Rev. Owusu Bempah thanked OmniBank for facilitating the travel to ensure Christians embark on the holy pilgrimage.
