Several Ghanaians have descended heavily on some readers of UK-based media giant, Daily Mail over unsavory comments about the gas explosion at the Atomic Junction near Madina on Saturday night.
Some of the comments made by readers were regarded as insensitive and racist.
The MANSCO Gas station explosion has so far claimed seven lives with some 132 others reported injured.
The fire, which started around 7:30, had people running for their lives after a huge fireball lighted up in the area causing panic amongst people.
Foreign news websites including, BBC Africa, CNN, and Daily Mail UK reported on the incident.
But some comments by some readers on the Daily Mail’s Facebook page has generated controversy.
The comments drew reactions from some Ghanaians who deemed them as distasteful.
