It's another Ghana vs Mali match as the women teams of both nations clash in Accra.
Following the Ghana's 2-0 defeat of Mali on Saturday in the African Cup of Nations, attention would be turned to the women's game Sunday.
Though taking inspiration from the victory, women's team coach Kuuku Dadzie is guarding against complacency as Ghana aim to reach the finals of the African Women’s Championship.
The Black Queens take on Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium, in the return leg of the preliminary round fixture.
Dadzie, after guiding the Black Queens to a 3-0 first leg says the team would get ahead of themselves.
“It’s not a game we are taking lightly at all,” Dadzie said in an interview with ghanafa.org.
“We are approaching this match like a second half of a match. When you take a 3-0 lead in the first half, you don’t come back into the second half thinking it’s all over. You have to remain focused until it’s all over.
“For us it’s not all over and we want to remain focused until it’s all over.”
With striker Faiza Ibrahim ruled out for today's clash due to injury, Dadzie says they would have to cope in her absence. Faiza scored one of the first leg goals.
“Faiza’s absence is a blow but it’s also a blessing in disguise,” the Ghana coach said.
“Her absence will afford us the opportunity to try other options and that is good for the team. I am very confident we will cope.”
Ghana are gunning to reach the finals of the Championship to be staged in Equatorial Guinea in November.
