Reggae gospel sensation, Akese Brempong is upbeat about picking up the male vocalist category in the upcoming National Gospel Music Awards.
He says only Joe Mettle has done enough to beat him to that award.
“That’s the only person, I think can beat me to it”, he says.
Speaking to Luv FM’s DJ Reuben on the Drive Time, Akese believes Joe Mettle has proven throughout the years as a finer vocalist.
Akese is in the best male vocalist category together with great talents like OJ, Don Simon, Ernest Opoku Jnr, Brother Philemon and Paa Boateng.
The Crazy Love hit maker has been nominated in 3 other categories at the upcoming awards
He believes his song video, which has won other awards will win the Gospel Reggae video of the year award.
The National Gospel Music Awards, organized by Royal Akofena Entertainment in partnership with The Multimedia Group, will see artistes slug it out for honours in 31 categories.
The Awards seeks to recognize and appreciate the contribution of gospel artistes in the creative arts industry
The Award ceremony comes off this Sunday, 17th December at the CCB Auditorium, KNUST.
