The Volta River Authority has announced an end to the month-long nationwide load shedding exercise prompted by the shortfall in gas supply from Nigeria.
The return to normalcy follows a restoration of supplies.
Public Relations Director of the VRA, Gertrude Koomson has told Joy News areas that may still experience outages would have to report them.
“We are running our thermal plant on gas and because Nigeria stopped giving us gas for about three weeks, we were unable to supply adequate power to consumers. So as we speak we are now receiving gas from Nigeria and we are producing adequate power. Asogli the private company in Tema is also supplying power because VRA is giving part of the gas to them.”
