Three suspects alleged to have been involved in the killing of a chief at Oblogo on Easter Sunday have been arrested by the Police in Accra.
The Acting Public Relations Officer of the Accra Regional Police Command, Sergeant Kwabena Danso, says the three, Otukuno Sackey and Samuel Kpormegbe both 32 years and Samuel Tettey, 24 years were apprehended upon a tip off.
Items found on them included a pump action gun, six cutlasses, a toy pistol, okapi knife, three cartridges, a handsaw and six mobile phones.
The late chief, Nii Kwaku Bibini, was murdered by unknown assailants when he returned to Oblogo after a year’s absence following a court order restraining him from entering the town due to a chieftaincy dispute in that town.
The three suspects have since been taken to the Police Criminal Investigation Department’s Headquarters for further investigations.
